A two-day conference in Manhattan, New York for the writers, filmmakers, actors, producers, and creator-producers building sustainable careers in entertainment, on their own terms.
Founded by Jerrica Long (Netflix, Lionsgate, Disney+). The numbers below reflect the Greenlight Yourself community, GreenlightCon, and Jerrica's socials.
Creators are launching studios. Brands are financing films. Private equity is investing in IP. The people in this room are not waiting for permission. They are building now. Kickstarter exists for exactly this moment.
GreenlightCon is application-only. Five distinct audiences. One building.
Your name on it. Your team selects the judges. Every creator walks away knowing Kickstarter is how independent work gets funded.
We are building the GreenlightCon stage around voices that have built independent careers and can speak to this audience from experience.
A founder, marketer, and creative entrepreneur before Kickstarter. His story is the story of this room. A fireside conversation with him is not a CEO appearance. It is proof that the path works.
Alongside Everette, we will host a fireside conversation with a creator, journalist, or independent builder who has used Kickstarter to fund their work. The conversation that makes the thesis real for this room.
Seven months of brand presence before a single attendee walks through the door.
2-3 posts per month for the 3 months leading up to GreenlightCon. Callouts for the pitch competition, the conference, and Kickstarter as a partner. Your name in front of this community before anyone walks through the door.
A creator doing the thing, on camera, using your platform, while her community watches. Not a testimonial. Not a case study.
The content runs for months. The story has a real ending. Kickstarter is the reason it happened.
Jerrica spent years inside the permission structure. She started at CAA, one of the most powerful gatekeeping institutions in entertainment, then moved through development, production, writers rooms, and creator marketing at companies including DreamWorks, Lionsgate, SpringHill, Netflix, and Mattel. She watched who got access and who didn't. She managed $7.8M+ in creator campaign spend, built a community of 45K+, and co-wrote an episode of Disney+'s Diary of a Future President. She built Greenlight Yourself because she understood the system well enough to know it needed a door that wasn't there. GreenlightCon is that door.
Esosa is the co-founder of Black Women Talk Tech, the largest collective of Black women tech founders in the world with 150,000+ entrepreneurs, and the founder of AcceleratorCON, recognized as the largest accelerator event in America. With 15+ years across event production, corporate sponsorships, and community-driven conference building, she knows what it takes to build a room people actually show up for. She is advising on the architecture of GreenlightCon.
